Hours after the henna application, it felt so cold and painful. It went away after it had dried. After a week and the tattoo is slowly fading, it started to itch like hell. I really would like to scratch but i opted not to. Right now, close to two weeks since I got the tattoo, it's red but the itch is tolerable. It must be the anti-histamine I'm taking. I'll be seeing a doctor the coming weekend for some topicals.

Re: Philippines' Top Ten Traffic Violations

As most of us know that drive in the Philippines there are plenty of laws that regulate drivers, but there are no laws that govern the actions of pedestrians, as a matter of fact there are more people in the street then on the sidewalks an most pedestrians are reckless, careless and have no regards for motor vehicles, and use very few safe guards and employ no common sense to protect themselves when crossing the street, however if you should hit a pedestrian or kill one, you are automaticly charged with a crime regardless on how seriously the pedestrian is hurt, even if the pedestrian is at fault, and crossing at a undesignated crossing area the charge imposed on the driver is reckless imprudence resulting serious bodily injury, if the pedestrian die's you will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homocide, in other words murder, completely with out the benefit of a accident investigation, even if you are not at fault! this law placing all the responsibility on the driver was put in place to protect the city governments from law suits for negligence, in not having the proper safety devices, trained safety personell, enforced an marked dissignated crossing areas and enforced laws that govern pedestrians crossing the street. which means the money alotted for public safety ends up in political pockets!

Re: Swine Flu (A) H1N1 in the United States Today

Oh!...that's great helpful, it's so right to me! I cited a blog post you wrote 2 years ago on dengue and tawa-tawa in my own post. I found a study by Hiermann and Bucar claiming that E. hirta has some effect on platelet aggregation (abstract only). The usual causes are prolonged hospital stays, weak immunity, and being infected with antibiotic-resistant microorganisms. It can also be because of a combination of ALL these causes. A botched surgical procedure can also be a cause. Sorry for the delayed reply. I'm out of the country now.

Re: Painkillers and Stroke Risk

Hi Doc Emer! :)

Thanks really for all the very informative posts. I have a friend in the Philippines, and he is very poor. He has been telling me for the last two days his stomach has a pain that won't go away. I don't know much about medicine, but I think he has appendicitis. I asked him to press in on where the pain was, and he said it hurts more when he pulls his hand away. He also has pain where his appendix should be located. My friend is very poor.... he can barely afford public transportation.

I know if the appendix goes untreated.... it could explode and the infection will spread and kill him. Please... can you tell me two things...

1. How much is an appendectomy in the philippines.
2. Do you know of any cheap medical facilities in Angeles City where he could get some help.... possibly for free?

Please let me know asap! I have looked all over the internet and can't find much. Please help me...

My email is mjjohnson_88@yahoo.com

Re: http://emeritus.blogspot.com/2008/08/allergy-from-henna-tattoos.html

It would be *very* rare to be allergic to henna (a plant derivative), but the PPD (which is a chemical additive) will cause a very bad reaction in 75% of people that get a henna tattoo with that added to it. PPD is a sensitizer, which means that your reaction to it will become worse and worse with each exposure. You can tell if it's "PPD black henna" by putting a sample of the henna you're about to use on a dish and add some water and wait for twenty (20) minutes, after the twenty minutes the black will separate from the henna paste and float on the top of it if it is "PPD black henna." You shouldn't be afraid of getting a henna tattoo, just because of this one bad thing. Just use common sense and read up before you choose.

Re: Watermelons For Erectile Dysfunction

Great! I have a mother who is almost 89yrs. It's important to realize that the elderly suffer things that others don't. They have all kinds of issues to deal with when they get old. Memory can be one, fear of ill health and being alone. We need to focus on the needs of the elderly when we can. They are a fragile and needful area of society.

Re: What's the Truth About The Montauk Monster?

Its a dog people these day r lil wuses 1 weird thing nd its in the labs or TV, in news paper or magizense i mean for real !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: No To Magic Sugar

Do you work for Coca-Cola?
